Delivery & Returns
Standard Delivery - UK MAINLAND ONLY
All deliveries (unless specially requested prior to purchasing) will NOT be brought into your premises. Small items will be brought to your door, large items will be brought as close to your property as possible on a pallet (90cm x 120cm)
Regardless of the number of items you request, you only pay one fair delivery charge per order. Standard delivery for some small items weighing up to 20kg starts at £4.99, larger pieces are priced in the grid below. Delivery, no matter how many items you buy, will ever exceed £45.
Delivery is to MAINLAND U.K. ONLY. If you are in other areas please contact us for a quote before purchasing your items.

Delivery can be to any address as long as the address at which your payment card is registered (billing address) is also present on your order. All deliveries must be signed for. Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.
When you add products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order.
All delivery timescales are subject to product and delivery slot availability.
DPD 'Next working day' DELIVERY SERVICE - for items up to 20kg
Smaller items are usually delivered via DPD Local. We use their NEXT DAY service and they will not leave a parcel without a signature unless previously agreed. It is important that we have a contact telephone number for all items. DPD offer a very reliable pre delivery TEXT ALERT or EMAIL ALERT system that enables you to adjust the delivery day. Please make sure that you leave a MOBILE number to use this service.
If you choose to collect the item from a DPD warehouse it is then your responsibility to ensure the item is in good condition when collected. The journey from the warehouse to your home is not covered by us or DPD for damage that may occur. Therefore please check the contents of your parcels at the DPD warehouse for any signs of damage before you sign for the goods.
Should the first delivery attempt fail DPD will leave a calling card for you to make contact with them directly. Failure to accept your parcel from a DPD warehouse or non communication with them to chose a suitable redelivery date, will result in DPD returning your item to us. In this case you will be refunded for your item less the cost of the out going postage and the extra charges incurred for its return. Therefore please make sure you give us correct contact details (email and telephone numbers) so that they can communicate with you and avoid this issue.
Express delivery - via UPN (United Pallet Network)
This delivery option is for large items. We can prepare and dispatch them usually within 1-2 working days, and can arrange for delivery to your address approximately 3 working days after that. This delivery option will arrive on a pallet and it will be YOUR responsibility to carry the item inside. The delivery drivers of this company are not trained nor insured to lift your items or enter your premises, so please keep this in mind when purchasing. There are no surcharges for this service, but more remote areas will take an extra day to arrive. You can choose the delivery day when purchasing your items by sending us an email, otherwise we will contact you shortly after purchase to ask your preference. Failure to make contact with you will delay the dispatch date.
WHEN PURCHASING FURNITURE, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT A LARGE VEHICLE MAY BE SENT TO DELIVER YOUR ITEM. WE THEREFORE SUGGEST THAT IF YOU CANNOT GET A DOUBLE DECKER BUS OUTSIDE YOUR HOME THEN THE DELIVERY MAY FAIL. PLEASE MAKE US AWARE OF ANY RESTRICTIONS OR DIFFICULTIES REACHING YOUR DELIVERY ADDRESS FOR THE COURIERS.
We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) Boxes or shipping agents address.
We will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way.
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and Ironbridge Furniture LTD shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.
Ironbridge Furniture LTD shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
As a consumer, you are protected by the Distance Selling Regulations 2000. This provides, that if you change you mind, or wish to cancel or return your order for any reason, you may do so within 7 days.
However, as a seller we are now making you aware that if you do return an item, you are fully responsible for the cost of returning the item to us in a safe and resalable condition. In addition to this, once we receive the item back in said condition, you will be refunded LESS the original cost of delivery.
Because we have stated, and therefore made you aware of the above you are legally obliged to comply if you wish to return the item for a refund.
Please note that when ordering large pieces of furniture, if you aren't convinced you will want to keep the item then we urge you not to order. As returning large items of furniture can be very expensive. There may also be an administration charge on larger items of around 10% of the cost.
Ways of returning:
You can organise you own courier if you wish, and send to the address below.
OR for smaller items (that arrived with you in a box) we can book our own courier to collect from you at a charge. You must pack the item up as well as it was when it arrived with you to ensure it gets back to us undamaged.
If you do need to return a large piece of furniture after notifying us within the 7 days, you can contact us to ask our advice on the best way to get it back to us. The return of a large piece will come at considerable cost.
Any refund, which is due to a fault or other defect, will include a refund of the applicable delivery charge.

Cancellation of Orders
You are able to cancel your order prior to shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if monies have already been taken. You can cancel an order by following the links on the Ironbridge Furniture website, or by phoning us on 01952 433400 or 01952 588745
We will endeavour to process your orders as soon as possible and will let you know if there is likely to be a major delay. Our shop is in a deep Gorge so we are affected by weather during the winter months.
